Decades of Piano Expertise – Our story goes back to the 1970s when our family owned and operated a piano store.
Built by Hand – My dad worked as a piano technician and even built Everett Pianos in Michigan, gaining hands-on knowledge of how pianos are constructed.
A Family Tradition – Both of my sisters are professional piano teachers, and my father is a retired piano technician. Growing up, I learned not only how to move pianos but also how to respect these incredible instruments.
Trusted Experience – With years of moving uprights, grands, and consoles, we understand the weight, balance, and delicate care pianos demand.
When you choose Haul Squad, you’re hiring a team with real piano roots — not just movers, but a family that’s been around pianos for generations.
Our story begins in a 1970s piano shop — and carries on with Haul Squad.

In some cases, you may be able to donate a piano if it’s in playable condition. Haul Squad can help coordinate donation pickups or provide low-cost removal if donation isn’t an option.
The easiest way is to text or call Haul Squad. We handle the heavy lifting, safe transport, and proper disposal or recycling of unwanted pianos — including uprights, grands, and consoles.
Depending on its condition, old pianos are either repurposed, donated, or carefully broken down and recycled. We prioritize eco-friendly disposal and always treat your home with care.
Most quotes can be given over the phone or via a texted photo. Prices vary based on piano size, location, and difficulty of access — but we offer upfront, flat-rate pricing with no hidden fees.
We can usually accommodate piano removals with 24–48 hours' notice. For urgent jobs, we do our best to fit you in the same or next day — just call or text us directly.
Most upright pianos require 2–3 experienced movers. For heavier or more complex jobs, like grand pianos or tight staircases, we may bring an additional team member.
Not with us. We use professional equipment like piano dollies with special wheels to ensure there’s no damage to your wood floors.
Yes — we’re fully insured for residential removals. While damage is extremely rare, you’re protected in the event of an accident.
Most upright pianos can be removed as-is. In some cases, like tight corners or staircases, we may need to remove legs, lids, or other parts — all done professionally.
No problem. We’re experienced in stair moves. There may be a small additional charge depending on the number of stairs and difficulty, which we can estimate upfront.
Absolutely. Most of our piano quotes are done by text. Send us a few clear photos of the piano and its location, and we’ll respond quickly with an estimate.
Yes — we try to donate working pianos to local families or organizations. If the piano isn’t playable, we recycle materials where possible to reduce landfill waste.
We’re upfront with pricing. Extra fees may apply for stairs, tight access, long carry distances, or unusually heavy models — but we’ll always quote before the job.
Tell us the type (upright, baby grand, console), approximate size, and location in the house (first floor, upstairs, etc.). Photos are the best way to ensure accuracy.
